Go8 Research Integrity and Ethics Group

The function of the group is to enable a forum that will facilitate discussion between the  Group of 8 universities on matters of research integrity and research ethics. A principal focus will be on the  practical implementation of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research, including the implementation of institutional  policy and education programs relative to the principles espoused in  Part A of the Code, and on the implementation of  procedures relative to the research misconduct provisions of Part B of the Code. At the same time ongoing discussion concerning application processes, education programs, committee procedure and monitoring relative to human research committee, animal ethics committee and institutional bio-safety committee function will be an ongoing focus. Discussion will also extend to include the development of HoMER and Go8 universities’  interaction with it, and the operations of the Australian Research Integrity Committee.
