Go8 Social Inclusion Strategy Group

The Go8 Social Inclusion Strategy Group will:

1.    Enhance good practice and innovation in student equity and social inclusion in the Go8 through the collegial exchange of information, experience and views.

2.    Provide advice to the Go8 Vice-chancellors on the formulation of student equity and social inclusion policy and initiatives, in the particular context of selective, research intensive universities.

3.    Identify opportunities to make distinctive contribution to knowledge on the graduate outcomes of students from under-represented groups and their access to, and retention and success in, postgraduate education and research training.

4.    Contribute a Go8 perspective to shaping agendas and public policy in relation to student equity and social inclusion.

5.    Facilitate collaboration within the Go8 to create opportunities and expand support for academically talented students from disadvantaged circumstances to advance through, and excel, in higher education.
