While world class research and innovative activities are an every day occurrence in Australia's universities bringing significant benefits to industry, business, government and the wider community, it can often be difficult to identify, locate and access specific expertise within the sector. To assist in this regard the Go8 is developing a database which quickly and accurately locates detailed information about research strengths in all Australian universities.

The Group of Eight universities understand that connecting with business  and government is a vital element in their efforts to advance  Australia's wellbeing. Committees of senior staff within Group of Eight  universities work collaboratively on a range of issues including  research and research commercialisation.

The Go8 aims to be:

• proactive in setting the policy agenda

Benchmarking and Statistics
